Expanding Scale and Developing a Smart Manufacturing System
With a total expected investment of VND 900 billion, the Duy Tan Long An Factory expansion project comprises three main components: the IM3 plastic injection molding factory, the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), and a canteen and parking facility for employees. The three components cover a total construction area of nearly 25,000 square meters, helping increase production capacity, modernize logistics operations, and improve infrastructure and facilities for employees.

The IM3 factory is designed with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons. It is expected to manufacture caps, closures, bottles, jars, and other plastic packaging products serving the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemical, and industrial sectors.
A key highlight of the IM3 factory is the application of advanced automation solutions, including a centralized raw material feeding system, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), automated palletizing systems, and AI-powered cameras for product defect inspection. IoT technology will enable real-time connectivity and monitoring of equipment, helping improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency. Construction of this component is expected to take place from October 2026 to September 2027.

Overall perspective of the Duy Tan Long An Factory expansion project.
In parallel, the ASRS automated warehouse will have a storage capacity of 15,000 pallet positions. The system will use automated storage and retrieval technology combined with Warehouse Management System/Warehouse Control System (WMS/WCS) software integrated with SAP ERP. This integrated solution will help optimize storage space, enable real-time inventory control, and improve operational efficiency. The system is expected to begin trial operations in October 2027.
The project also includes investment in a canteen and parking facility to improve working and living conditions for employees. At the same time, it will provide a foundation for Duy Tan to gradually relocate production activities from its facilities in Ho Chi Minh City to Duy Tan Long An Factory, in line with the company’s roadmap for restructuring and optimizing its manufacturing network.
The expansion of Duy Tan Long An Factory is part of Duy Tan’s broader manufacturing network restructuring roadmap, which focuses on concentrating resources, optimizing operations, and strengthening supply capacity. The synchronized investment in manufacturing facilities and automated logistics systems will lay the foundation for developing the factory into a key production and distribution hub, enhancing the company’s ability to fulfill large-scale orders, optimize its supply chain, and expand both domestic and international markets.
