On November 22, 2023, Duy Tân Plastic Company Limited Binh Duong held a commercial operation ceremony for the solar energy project at the factory in Vietnam Huong 2 Industrial Park, Ben Cat District, Binh Duong Province.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of Duy Tân Group, Duy Tân Binh Duong, and partners: BayWa r.e. Vietnam, Vu Phong Energy Group...
Duy Tân's solar power project is implemented by reputable partners: BayWa r.e. Vietnam - the investor, Vu Phong Energy Group - the project developer and general contractor. With a total roof area of 16,000 m² and a capacity of 2MWp, the project, once operational, can help save 1.5 billion VND in electricity costs annually for Duy Tân Binh Duong and contribute to reducing 2,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually to the environment.
This is the second factory of Duy Tân that has implemented a solar power project. Previously, the project at Duy Tân Long An factory was carried out at the beginning of 2021 with a total capacity of nearly 10 MWp, contributing to reducing emissions by nearly 8,000 tons of CO2 annually, and saving at least 11 million kWh/year for the power system. The project was in the Top "Outstanding Renewable Energy Projects of 2021" (selected by VCCI and the Advisory Council for Science Education - Environment).
The operation of the project demonstrates the continuous efforts of Duy Tân's leadership in committing to realizing the ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance) strategy and sustainable development goals. Among them, the solar energy project is a practical solution that helps create clean energy, save energy, reduce production costs, and protect the environment. This environmentally friendly energy source, along with many other activities, is Duy Tân's meaningful contribution to the green revolution and carbon reduction, in line with Vietnamese enterprises' commitments to achieve "Net Zero" by 2050.
