On December 16, Duy Tân Binh Duong Plastic Company Limited, a subsidiary of Duy Tân Plastic Corporation, held a signing ceremony to implement the Solar project - a solar energy project for the factory in Binh Duong.
Following the renewable energy transition project already implemented at the Duy Tân Long An factory, Duy Tân Plastic Company continues to collaborate with new units to deploy and replace part of the grid electricity with the solar energy project to serve the production process. The project also helps to fully utilize the capacity of the power source projects invested in the near future, ensuring a safe and continuous electricity supply.
The project is invested by BayWa r.e. Vietnam, with Vu Phong Energy Group as the project developer and general contractor, expected to be put into operation at the end of Q1-2023.

This project is located at the Duy Tân Binh Duong Plastic factory in Vietnam Huong 2 Industrial Park, Ben Cat, Binh Duong province, covering a total roof area of 16,000 m² (including 3 buildings). With a capacity of 2,170.2 kWp, the system will generate about 3,000,000 kWh of solar electricity annually, helping the factory reduce emissions by approximately 2,000 tons of CO2 per year.
Previously, the solar power project at Duy Tân Long An Company was honored to be in the Top "Outstanding Renewable Energy Projects of 2021". This project, located in Tan Do Industrial Park, Long An province, has a total capacity of 9,932.4 kWp, contributing to reducing nearly 9,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, and saving at least nearly 13 million kWh/year for the power system.
In addition to creating clean energy and reducing CO2 emissions, this solar power project also helps save energy and reduce production costs. Most of the equipment used in this project is imported from abroad, such as Canadian solar panels, German SMA inverters, Schneider electric equipment, and Cadivi electric cables.
Mr. Le Tri Tin, General Director of Duy Tân Binh Duong Plastic Company, stated: "The solar project at Duy Tân Binh Duong Plastic Company is an effort by the company's leadership to contribute to the green revolution and carbon reduction, in line with Vietnam's commitments at COP 27 regarding green transition and energy transition to achieve the 'Net Zero' goal by 2050."
The Duy Tân Binh Duong Plastic factory owns many large machines specialized in producing high-quality industrial plastic products.
As a leading plastic manufacturer in Vietnam and reaching the world, Duy Tân Plastics always considers green and sustainable development as a responsibility and mission. From the beginning, the company has oriented to build zero-waste factories, including solid waste, exhaust gas, and wastewater.
In its development strategy, the company always aims for sustainable development, maintaining growth in production and business activities while focusing on developing human resources and environmentally friendly products.
