After a month of launching, Green Day, implemented at GO! shopping mall, has achieved many positive results: more than 200 people participated, more than 600 kg of recyclable waste were collected, over 250 valuable gifts were exchanged, 100% of the collection staff used transaction management technology of the project (mobile app mGreen Collector) replacing the manual bookkeeping method.
The program has attracted a variety of participants such as: households, office workers, youth, students, children.... Especially, many parents and their children have built up the habit of actively sorting garbage at source, spreading the positive message of the program.
A lot of students in Ho Chi Minh City have participated in the program.
M.H, a student at a university, said: “I've heard the news on the radio about garbage sorting, but not done it in reality. Knowing this program, I asked my friends to collect all kinds of paper, plastic, metal waste. This activity is very useful and meaningful because it both protects the environment, limits harmful waste, and brings us lovely gifts."
Many families and children have been excited to participate in garbage sorting and recycling.
Ms. Dung - a resident in Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City said: "Previously, I didn't know, I just collected all kinds of garbage together. Now I hear about environmental protection, garbage sorting, I begin to pay more attention. Every time I collect the garbage, I sort them out, so it does not make me feel inconvenient at all, just pay attention and I have many gifts to bring home at weekends. Last week I exchanged for a very good water bottle and a plastic container, this week I want to exchange for a plastic chair.”

In the coming time, Duy Tan Plastics, MGREEN will coordinate with other agencies and organizations such as the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Public Service CORPORATION, Schools, Residential areas... to expand the locations for Green Day, Duy Tan Trade-in. Typically in June 2023 (June 7 - June 9, 2023), Green Day will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University in with more than 500 students participating.
This activity helps people be more aware of and proactive in garbage sorting.
The campaign "Exchange garbage for gifts on phone with Green Day " is periodically implemented by Duy Tan and MGREEN Social Enterprises every Saturday and Sunday at shopping malls, apartments, residential areas and Schools in Ho Chi Minh City from April to the end of September 2023. The project is the starting activity for the series of programs "Sorting garbage at source, collecting recyclable waste, towards the circular economy" of Duy Tan Plastics in 2023 for the common goal of building up the habit of sorting garbage at source and protecting the environment.

To participate in the program, people only need to follow 3 steps: Sort garbage; Bring clean, dry (paper, plastic, metal, plastic bags, milk cartons) recyclable waste and mobile phone to Green Day; Earn points, exchange gifts. Recycled waste after collected will be transported to recycling plants, making useful products according to the circular economy model.
Gifts at the program are Duy Tan Plastics household products and necessities, environmentally friendly products such as cloth bags, biodegradable garbage bags.
