According to statistics of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, each year, Vietnam disposes 1.8 million tons of plastic waste into the environment. Meanwhile, the treatment and recycling of plastic waste in Vietnam is still limited when up to 90% of plastic waste are treated by burial, landfill, incineration and only 10% are recycled.
